VISIT BY NILA SATYANARAYANAN
Retired I A S officer Nila Satyanarayan visited Ashray and was extremely impressed by the overall facilities available and the care with which the inmates were treated at Ashray. During a chit chat with the inmates, she was pleasantly surprised when she asked them if they would like to go home and they clearly refused…. In her address to Jalgaokars she requested the Ashray team and KSP to start a similar establishment for mentally challenged adults girls.
FIRST ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
Ashray’s first anniversary was celebrated with the screening of a film ‘Kachcha limbu’ in the presence of it’s director Shri Mandar Devasthali. The movie highlights the difficulties faced by the parents in tackling the problems of the mentally challenged adults. It reiterated the need of institutions like Ashray – Maze ghar, for the betterment of special adults as well as their parents.
MUSIC THERAPY WORKSHOP BY MANJUSHA RAUT
A one day music therapy workshop was organized by Ashray for special children as well as adults of all special schools in Jalgaon. Music teachers, and parents of special children attended the workshop.
